AccessShieldHub is a free set of calculators for fences, railings and security cameras: fence cost and materials, posts, concrete and stain, pickets and panels, baluster spacing for decks and stairs, and CCTV storage, bandwidth and lens field of view. Each page does one job and works straight away: there is no account and nothing to install.

How it works

• Everything runs in your browser. What you type or choose stays on your device; nothing is uploaded.
• Results are computed, not typed in. The examples on each page are produced by the same code the tool runs, and the code is tested against independently calculated results.
• Every result shows its working. Each calculator lists the formula and the steps with your numbers, and prints a dated record you can take to the store or the job.
• Estimates, not code checks. Spacing, depth and railing rules come from your local building code and the manufacturer; the site never claims a design complies.
• Third-party material used on the site is listed on the credits page.
